After being away for so long, Adam and I got back into our Saturday morning routine of sleeping in and making breakfast together. Look what we ate!! Homemade individual quiches with strawberry crepes with a passion coconut syrup. Yum yum!
And, now that we are home for awhile now, we hit of the Raleigh Farmers Market to fill the house with some good produce. Needless to say, we walked out of there with a little bit of everything. The list included watermelon, fresh basil, blueberries, zuchinni, squash, new potatoes, cauliflower, tomatoes and cantelope. The biggest purchase of all.....a large basket of peaches totaling 23 pounds. Umm yeah, it was crazy since it only cost $8. The peaches were slightly bruised making them ideal for ice cream, so that's what I did with some of it. We have had homemade peach ice cream, peach salsa, and peach souffle so far. Who knows what else I'll come up with to make! The picture below is Adam (slightly) frustrated that the peeling and cutting peaches for the freezer is taking so long. But look at the bowls of YUMMY fresh peaches we have!!!
Random Fact from Adam: "Father's Day is synonymous with ties. However, neither fathers nor most anyone else except for attorneys, job hunters, and Justin Timberlake are wearing ties. According to the Wall Street Journal:
* Sales peaked at $1.3 billion in 1995, were only $677.7 million from April 2007 - March 2008.
* The number of men who wear ties every day to work hit a record low of 6% last year, down from 10% in 2002."

So glad you got to enjoy Myrtle Beach - we loved visiting and camping there! Although I must say you have experienced Myrtle Beach until you've been there during Biker Week. And, I passion coconut syrup - I got hungry just reading that!
Yeah, it brought back memories from us living in SC and going to Myrtle beach. We miss you. Can you email me melinda's email so I can view her blog?
thanks
Danny

Yeah. my husband is an attorney and he almost never wears a tie so I guess I disagree with Adam's "fact" ;)
